Glimpses
Students performing a "shadow box" at a talent show at their outdoor performance theater.
Made in the USA in China. :) I love it!
Laundry day. The students air out their comforters outside on a sunny day.
A cute Chinese girl enjoying her corn while riding the bus. Street vendors sell corn on the cob here, it is flavored differently than in the States.
One day it decided to rain/snow/sleet and all the students pulled their umbrellas out to keep them dry. This is in the center of campus.
Eating a fish eye is good luck, and as the "new girl" I was voted to be the one to eat it. Crunchy.

From China
The moped trio. A teacher, student and I on the moped back from an adventurous day! There are more pictures to follow...though not sure when. My adventures thus far have been far more fun than I could have imagined.

Saturday
Out of all of the days I was most worried about, today would have been the day. Moving day. uggggh....
I had problems nailing down a "team" of people, which made me feel alone. Even waking up this morning I surrendered the fact that I may not have dream team I wanted, but I knew God would provide what I needed. And he did, in the form of another strong, independent woman - my cousin Mindy. The two of us plus two SUV's were able to move everything in two trips. :) Now all my earthly belongings (except the stuff going to China) is stored away at Mindy's house. What a blessing!
Now, I had thoughts of taking pictures of the process, but alas, I did not. So you can imagine the before and after. Before? Full. After? Empty. Before? Energized and strong. After? Tired and weak! :)

Wednesday
Look what I checked out from the library today.
After a lovely evening with jaymichaelmargureitenikkijennicarlyrich (friends from work) I woke with a continued "to do" list. The day was sunny which lent to a enjoyable day of walking to all of my errands. The packing of stuff continues to go slow. I should post pictures...but I haven't and probably won't. :) Tomorrow?! Packing bedroom and bathroom; talk to friend in Beijing; begin laying stuff out to pack. Woot!

Roller coaster Week
After waiting for three hours yesterday I was able to turn in my visa application to the Chinese-visa-people. :) I was nervous about a lot, but they glanced over my papers and said "come back on Friday". So, I'm going back on Friday. What does this mean? This means I could be leaving this weekend for China! So, let the countdown begin.
Goals for today:
Goals for today:
